Step 1: Tilt the mirror glass down.

Tilt the mirror down so that if you are sitting on the driver's seat and you look at the side mirror you should see the rear tire or the ground.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/3″][vc_single_image image="3577″ img_size="large" alignment="center" style="vc_box_shadow_3d" onclick="img_link_large"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3″][vc_column_text]

Step 2: Locate retaining clip

Look at the back of the mirror at the top part. You should see the clip that lock the mirror in place.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/3″][vc_single_image image="3579″ img_size="large" alignment="center" style="vc_box_shadow_3d" onclick="img_link_large"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3″][vc_column_text]

Step 3: Remove side mirror glass

Lift the metal wire clip up and towards the front of the car to unlock the side mirror glass.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link="https://vimeo.com/154607284″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/3″][vc_single_image image="3582″ img_size="large" alignment="center" style="vc_box_shadow_3d" onclick="img_link_large"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3″][vc_column_text]

Step 4: Detach side mirror glass

Once the clip is removed you are able to remove the glass. It  may require that you twist the mirror slightly to the left and then back to the right. Do that several times until the mirror can be removed.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/3″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3″][vc_column_text]

Step 5: Install the new glass.

If you are replacing the glass only, you need to remove the old glass and install the new one. First remove the old damaged glass from the mirror plastic frame. You can use a hair dryer to heat up the glass and easily remove the glue residue. Next glue the glass into the plastic frame. Follow directions that may have come with the glass.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/3″][vc_single_image image="3594″ img_size="large" alignment="center" style="vc_box_shadow_3d" onclick="img_link_large"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3″][vc_column_text]

Step 6: Install on the side mirror

Next is time to install the glass back on the side view mirror. Start by pressing the new mirror in place. You should hear the frame click when it is properly inserted in place. Use your screwdriver to lock the locking wire back in place. Look at the picture to see how the clip should be locked in place.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link="https://vimeo.com/154608556″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_message message_box_color="success"]You are done.
